I first tried fried green tomatoes several years ago on a hot August day in New Orleans. I fell in love with them. I only make them a few times a year, and I normally just eat them with a hollandaise sauce (which is amazing in itself.) But a few weeks ago I tried some from a local restaurant. They were cover in blue cheese and crab meat. Well, I don’t have crab meat on hand very often, but I do happen to have tomatoes and blue cheese in the fall, so I thought I would try my own version. It turned out so wonderfully. I could have eaten them all myself!
