I wouldn’t really consider myself to be an outdoorsy type of girl. No one would really guess that I like it, at least not by just looking at me on any regular weekday. But maybe in my old age, I’m slowly becoming more of one. Maybe I’ve always been, and don’t admit that much. I mean I do own a giant backpacking pack, that I’ve actually used. I know how to fish and have had since I was a little girl. (worms have never really bothered me) I build tents in my spare time.
I like the outdoors and I like to spend time in it. I love nothing better than waking up and taking a hot cup of coffee down to river. Where no one talks to me except the ducks and geese and pheasants. I also love walking back to a cabin with a hotplate and a roaring fire when I’m done with all that outdoorsy-ness.
I was standing here taking a picture of the old bike and all of a sudden a deer ran in front of me. Not far behind it was my Arnie dog frantically trying to catch it. His long ears were flying behind him. It was an awesome sight and all I could do was stand and watch.
It had been many years since I stopped to see this, so I finally made an effort yesterday. I also made an effort to take pictures throught the windshield of the moving car. I have recently found it amusing to see what I can catch!
