My boys left me for the whole weekend. It was the first time I had to stay in this big old house by myself since we moved here. I don’t know why I wasn’t rejoicing more. A whole weekend alone. Pretty much a mother’s dream come true.
I didn’t love it.
It creeks a lot.
It was really quiet without the little chatter of a dinosaur loving little boy.
Really quiet.
So I spent most of my time away from the house.
And some of it was spent with some of my most favorite people. Some that I don’t get to see that often anymore because the kiddos go to different schools now. Far away from one another. But it was nice to get to spend some “alone time”with them. And see what their daily life is like. It was good to cuddle with my Little Miss Sunshine and hear about her day. And much like the Dino dude…there are always dramatic stories to tell.
We caught the most fantastic sunset. We kind of corralled them the right way. I think it worked out perfectly.
Today is their parent’s birthday. (yup, the same day!) Happy birthday to both of you!!!! And you guys made of few of the most beautiful babies on the planet!
