The Colors from the Outside Come In

I decorate for most holidays, but come the end of September….the BIG decorating season begins.

For the entirety of the the rest of the year.

I love fall and I love to fill my house with the smells and the colors of the season

Cinnamon. Ginger. Cloves. Spices.

love it.

Ordinarily,  I would have my front stoop covered in pumpkins, but we have a couple naughty squirrels this year that like to burrow in them. And since I grew half of my own pumpkins this year (all of the funky colored ones came from the garden) I’m a little attached to them. So they are all inside.

But mums are always a good thing to replace them with.

My dad and I went on a soda run to pick the corn stalks from a field of one of my relatives in Wheatland. (THANKS RELATIVES!) And I made the wreath on the door. I normally re-make it every year.

The dino dude and I have made a few creations. We made a haunted house of salt dough last weekend. Worked like a charm. Also made ghoul drool. (every year we do this.), and garlands. We still have a few more projects to go, but even if we don’t get to them, I still feel accomplished.

Song: Lyin’Eyes, The Eagles.  On the fall playlist, and as my dad would say “That’s My All Time Favorite Band”
