I didn’t like Chocolate growing up.
Until my son was born, and then like many other things, that changed.
But I did always love hot chocolate.
But not from the package. This kind.
The recipe was given my dad from one of his teacher’s when I was growing up (he was a principal for many many years.) I don’t know where she is at anymore, or if she knows how much I loved this simple little recipe. I have kept it with me and made it a tradition in my home ever since I’ve had my own home. Its not complicated, but it is something that I love.
And today, I tried something AMAZING!!!!
If you add a sprinkle of cinnamon, a sprinkle of cayenne, and a sprinkle of chili powder… you get something that is FANTASTIC. The flavors meld with the chocolate perfectly.
It’s pretty much heaven.
