A Painted Shamrock

It actually felt like Spring this weekend. We reveled in it. There was some yard work even done. And I counted 38  tulips peeking through the ground along with the daffodils. It’s hard not to think about all the awesomeness that will be going on outside in just a few weeks.

The dino dude had a friend over and I had them do a little art project for me. I just got a double pack of canvas, drew a shamrock on some contact paper, cut it out. put the shamrock on one canvas and the one with the shamrock cut out on the other. I had them go wild, as long as they used a little green here and there.  Turned out great. I like to have his art displayed for the holidays. Not just things he does at school, but the things he does here.  Plus this little project taught them about negative and positive space. No harm in learning, right?  Also, if you want to go into the religious aspect of it…..the three petals stand for the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, which is also not a bad thing to be learning during the holy season.
