They have her smile and her nose.
They have his eyes.
They are a perfect mixture of the two of them.
It’s surreal to see them as parents. Surreal but awesome.
She and I used to round the track, praying coach Douglas wouldn’t actually step out on that last leg and strangle us for poor hurdle form.
She still runs.
And him, he was a fantastic part of my childhood. He was scrawny and skinny back then, and now I have to stand on my tiptoes to hug him. There are very few people I have to stand on my tiptoes to hug.
I could have taken their sweet little girl home with me. What a darling she is. And the little boy….loves dinosaurs. He stole my heart right there.
I wish I could have spent more time with them. It goes too quickly.
It was freezing cold this time, just like the last. We vowed we would shoot in warmer weather next time.
