Well, it’s that time of year when I start cleaning out closets, under beds, baseboards, walls. It’s New Years cleaning time. The tree and lights are down and I’m ready for the next set of celebrations.
It’s also a time to reflect on this past year. A year I had expected to be completely blaise….. ended up to be so very not. It was supposed to be a year of boring and somehow, it twisted and turned into a rather exciting time. And that folks is what happens when you go into something with no expectations, and just go along for the ride. I have again met some amazing new people. Experienced some new amazing things. Cried. A lot. Laughed. A lot. Stepped WAY outside my comfort zone more than once. Left my job. Slowly working my way into a new niche. Worked hard. Played harder.
And now I’m preparing myself for another awesome, new river ride in the coming year. Who knows what it will bring. As I get older in this lifetime I know first hand that not every year is going to be perfect. That every year will probably bring hard things. But I also know, that every year has good in it. Sometimes that good comes unexpectedly. Sometimes you have to look for it. Sometimes, it just is good.
There has been an overabundance of good this past year….. I found so much. Here are some of my favorites!
