I have had an empty sketch book next to my bed for over a year. It’s just been waiting for something amazing. And this came across my desk. This guy I thought was amazing. And ingenious. And I could do that. I’ve been needing some inspiration, and what better place to find it than through little ones.
I’ve been very proactive about imagination at my house. I’m a firm believer that if you have other outlets. Other things to put your mind to….that sometimes it’s easier to deal with the world and all of it’s craziness. It’s better to create than to destroy.
So once a week (we might do more, but that is our goal.) we will do this. He will draw and I will color. I’ve always been the one to draw. He’s always been the one to color. I see I’m out of practice, but I have a whole year to work on it….and it’s sooo fun bringing his things to life! (I will need to invest in some better colored pencils though!) We will put them all together at the end of the year and have something magical and memorable.
