Well, to prepare for the upcoming holiday, I’ll be sharing some awesome dessert recipes. Red if I can. I’ll probably throw some chocolate in there too. Who knows, I might even cook a meals and share…but I can’t promise anything.
First I’ll share with you my new favorite tea.
A few weeks ago I was sitting in my chair drinking my tea when a friend of ours walked in. He looked at what I was drinking and said “what is that?” I told him I was drinking tea with almond milk. “Is that a thing? Do people do that?” I laughed and said “apparently.” But then I got to thinking, well, was I weird or what? I’ve been a tea drinker most of my life. One of my favorite smells in the whole wide world is the smell of an Earl Grey Tea Bag (there are many witnesses to this, I always smell the bag while the water heats. It’s just me. If it’s crazy, it’s ok. I’m down with that.) I started on the coffee after the dino dude came along. I needed it. Anyway, to make sure drinking tea with milk was a “thing”, I went to the epitome of knowledge, Google…. and come to find out, it is!!! It’s even at Starbucks, so it has to be cool right? AND…there are different ways to make it. It’s called a London Fog. You’re supposed to add a little bit of vanilla syrup, but I quite drinking sugar in my tea when I was 15, so I skipped that and just added vanilla. HOLY YUM. I love it. And steamed milk is a big treat for me, so of course I loved it even more. (I quit drinking milk by the gallon a couple years ago. )
Also, here are some awesome cookies. I made them over Christmas and put them in our boxes we gave away, they will get dry if you leave them out for very long at all, so make sure to keep them sealed so they stay soft!
