Well, it’s almost April, and our school called a snow day today.
So, I will be at home with my little man. Trying to keep him from going stir crazy. Trying to keep myself from going stir crazy. Spring storms in Wyoming can be infuriating sometimes.
And I’m sure we’ll bake something. Even though it was just Easter and I consumed approximately 7 thousand pounds of sugar (I have no will power sometimes.)
I made this lovely coffee cake last week. Of course you’re supposed to make it in a cake pan, but I made mine in bread loaves and it turned out just fine. I also buttered my loaf pans and covered them in cinnamon and sugar, so if you want to try that, it kind of makes it awesome. I also, most of the time when I’m making streusel or crumbs, add cardamom to it. It gives it a little different punch to it.
