It’s the first day of April.
April…. the month that makes me think of the color yellow.
Of fields of daffodils and tulips, and lemons.
Of rain boots, and red umbrellas.
The month that sometimes, it gets warm here on the plains.
And I get a few days of the yellow rays of sunshine on my face.
The meals become lighter and more crisp.
The evenings get lighter and longer.
It’s a month of life. Coming back to it. After having been quiet and cold for so many months before.
It’s a month that makes us anxious for warmth. Anxious for growth.
It’s a month that life wakes back up.
And now as the sun sets, it’s gorgeous hues of gold….
I welcome April, my month of yellow.
I brought home daffodils for the gallon jug from the little house next door. A wonderful momento from my time working there. A project I started in April.
