For the Girls

Too many times have I had women be so hard on themselves. About their looks. About not wanting photographs. We as a gender, are incredibly hard on ourselves. Hard on each other. We nitpick.  And that, in my profession is difficult….. because I just see awesomely beautiful women in all walks of life. Each with their own imperfections. Each with their own gorgeous lights too.  I want them to see what I do. Because ladies, I see it.

This lovely mom of two hired me to take photos for a special birthday. She had been working hard and she wanted to document it.

I was all over that!!!

Heck yeah!

She’s celebrating herself. Without the kiddos (which I feel is important sometimes.) And her light shines through her eyes. Her smile. (And I drug her to a not so awesome smelling location and that light still shone!)

I will capture what you want girls. Birthdays (cake smashes for adults are a thing!!!), you and your girlfriends…. on a random Tuesday…after a mimosa, anniversaries, whatever sounds fun. I will dress you if need be (I’ve done it for some of my families!!)  But I want you to be present in photos. Please? I know I’ve preached that over and over again…..but show up in the photos. It’s important.  And today you are the youngest you will ever be again, don’t wait for the time to be perfect.
