Strangely, but more often than not, I am one of the first people someone contacts during a pregnancy. It happens during death as well. Far too often than I would like. But, I have to say… I like the first scenario the best.
I have been waiting to meet this little girl for months and months. I have been photographing her family for over a decade and her oldest brother was one of my first ever clients before I had any idea of what I was doing.
Though, my process is still the same. Keep things uncomplicated. If they sleep they sleep. If they don’t they don’t. But this little one and her brother are 2 of 4 babies that I have actually been able to take outside. Their mom just lets me do my things and we normally end up visiting more than shooting, which I love.
She slept and slept. And wanted to sleep in this position for the most part. So I let her. She had so much hair. And she smelled so good. I love the smell of babies so very much. And she’s a springtime baby, which will be amazing in photoshoots to come down the road. Flowers and green grass. Mmmmm. I can’t wait!
