I let them be them. Always.
Kids are always going to be just who they are and trying to make them be something else, just doesn’t work for me.
They may be twins, but they have very different people. One a little more happy go lucky and playful. The other more thoughtful and quiet and shies away from me.
I have known them so long that I know I will probably not have a long conversation with them. I know well enough to know that they are goofy with one another. And they annoy each other. And hugging is gross and “MOM!!!! He’s touching me! Make him stop!” They giggle and mess around… like any other kid their age. This is them and I would never want them to be anything else. Ever.
