They are the kind of friends that I have always called “first responders”
The kind of friends who are always the first to respond to life’s events.
Always there.
So when I got a message last year with the question…..
“So what are you doing next April? We need newborn photos!!!”
I was pretty estatic.
And now she’s here. And she’s beautiful. And I got to be the first to take her portrait. And I got to spend one of her first days with her (It took about 3 hours for sleep to come to this little one) I got to be a first responder.
I have seen them through their own lives. Seen a first born become a big brother (a loving, natural at that.) I’ve seen marriage and job changes and moves. We’ve been around for each other for a lot of years. And I’m honored I got to do this for them.
