Short Trips

We didn’t expect to be driving to Denver once a month.

But we do. Sometimes twice.

And you know what?…. it’s 8 hours that I wouldn’t have otherwise spent so closely with my family.  And you know what? That makes it awesome.  We could be going for much more serious reasons than we are, and we are thankful we aren’t, so we have made it a point to enjoy those days that we get to spend together. That’s what’s important. We talk and play games and talk and laugh and talk. It’s good for all of us.

He’s a major trooper. I’m so proud of him. He’s literally one in a million boy.   He’s continuing with his treatment for now and we’re just seeing as we go.  Drs. don’t want to do a transplant because of his age and possible rejection.  We’re hoping that as time progresses, maybe the scarring will heal. But we don’t know and it may be a couple years before we do know. (this is all eye related, in case you’ve missed past posts.)
