What’s His Name????

That’s what the doctors and nurses all yelled as soon as he was born.

We had kept his name a secret the entire time.  It was a fun secret to keep.  Fun to let our friends and family keep guessing.  No one ever did.

His nose was squished and he had black, black hair. It was everywhere. Even on his ears.  He was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.

And his name was The Dino Dude.

Ha ha ha… see what I did there?

On the way home the other day, he held up his two fingers, stuck together and he said “mom…this is how far apart we are, we’re right next to each other!”  And we are.  I told him he was my belated birthday present. The best one I have ever received.

Having a birthday on a school day is a pretty exhausting venture. I was completely dead on my feet by the time we finally walked in the door at 9:30.  6 year olds are busy busy people. And I hear it gets worse.

He finally admitted that he doesn’t want cake or cupcakes anymore (he’s a weirdo and really doesn’t like sugar all that much)…so pumpkin pie it was, right after a hearty meal at Red Lobster (also his favorite place as he adores fish… I know I actually gave birth to a 40 year old)

Song: Dynamite, Taio Cruz (One of his favorite songs at the moment)
