Tiny Adventures

The Dino Dude and I have a couple days to play, so today we decided to cruise down south to Loveland. He and I are trouble sometimes when left alone to plan our own fun. Like for instance today, we walked into a shop just for pure curiosity, just to see what was in it and walked right back out with two dwarf frogs that we named Patrick and Eugene. Neither of us could leave the store without them. This was directly after another whim purchase of highly over priced perfume. We then ate ate at our favorite place. Stuffed ourselves silly an then headed to Bounce.  (if you haven’t checked it out, you should, it’s pretty awesome and there’s free Wifi, so I was happy an a clam too. They need some work on their site because the place is pretty size-able and crazy fun for kids, and we’re pretty picky about our crazy fun.)

Since I’ve never taken the time to actually drive through Loveland, we took a minute. And found some awesome things along the way. Like the Swets “farm animals” This dinosaur used to be on a farm, full of sculptures that closed down a while ago. I always wished I had taken the Dino Dude there, because I knew he would like it. Well, the statues are kind of scattered now. We found one. His name is Artie.  And apparently Loveland likes to paint walls with bugs and such. We also loved those.

I also found my dream Camper Bus. In Green. I love Green VW’s. If it would have had a “for sale” sign on it, I would have gone in and handed the guy a check. Ok maybe not, but I would have gone straight to the bank to get them to write a check for it.

And in other little adventure news, we’ve had a few things going on over the last few weeks.

My God-baby turned one.  She flew all the way to Wyoming to spend it with her crazy family. She was a little overwhelmed with all the crazy people around. Didn’t keep Grandma from putting on a party hat though!

My in-laws celebrated their 40th anniversary with a surprise party.

And my daddy retired. We we celebrated with a cake  that said “Congratulations on your “permanate” vacation.” (I knew when I hung up the phone with the 15 year old at the cake shop how that one was going to turn out. )

And we celebrated Fat Tuesday, the last day of Epiphany, with a great feast.

And just because I like it and listen to it a lot lately,
