We didn’t quite make it to the night. As getting up at 3am to run to miss a flight tends to wear you out.
When we pulled up to our hotel for the night we were greeted by a beaming bride-to-be. It was a wonderful reception to San Antonio.
We spent part of the first night at the rehearsal dinner for our friends. It was a quick rehearsal at a beautiful venue. The whole area was beautiful and quiet and all the buildings were within a few feet away from one another. We had great Mexican food and as a gift the bride and groom gave my little boy bay blades…..something he’s been asking for for months. It was almost better than Christmas for him. He was so over the moon that he went running through a room full of people as if he had just won the million dollar lottery. (If you don’t know what bayblades are….it’s OK, I still don’t really get it. ) Everyone was so welcoming me to me and my troop. They were all so happy to have us there. They made us feel loved.
I didn’t want to waste a minute of time so we went straight to the Riverwalk (We were within about 3 minutes walking distance. Just perfect. )and took a boat tour to get to know the area a little bit better. We all nearly slept through it, and we drug ourselves back to the room (thank goodness it was only a few minute walk) where we all collapsed within minutes. Song: Night Owl, Gerry Rafferty
One of my favs.
