I can’t remember the statistic….but Wyoming has more days of sunshine per year than most states.
Even on the days it snows.
I think this is one of the reasons, that even though winters are horrid and cold, and miserable….I stay here instead of dragging my family cross the world to live some place warm. The sun shines here. All the time. (Though I am infamous for coming home a couple times a week begging my husband to sell the house, put our belongings in storage and moving to Costa Rica and working in the surf shop and living in a house with a concrete floor…..in the early years I almost succeeded in the persuasion)
The little snow pea loves to play out there in the white fluff. But he’s not quite at the age where he will go out there and stay out there. And he needs company. So, I went out and played with him today. We only have a couple more months of winter, what the heck, I might as well play in it and enjoy it.
He’s also of the age where he eats it. Yes he’s been warned about the yellow snow. Today there wasn’t any, he was the first to grace the snow in the back yard. And he did a flying leap into it, landed on his face and started chowing down. Ten minutes later, as he’s shoveling in another mouthful he says…”mom, my chin is kind of burning.” It’s been a long time since my chin burnt of frost bite from snow. So…. I ate some.
