Picture it.
It’s the last minute of the game.
He gets the ball.
He stops.
He pushes up and adjusts his crooked glasses.
He shoots.
He scores!!
That’s how the basketball season ended this year. It was awesome. It was a really fun season, the kids, even though they are so little, they are improving and playing like I wouldn’t ever imagined 7 year olds to play. I love love love it. Kids playing sports is one of the cutest things in the world to watch. Growing up with a coach as a father, sports were not an option in my house and we took them seriously. And I still do. But what I want most for my kiddo…..is for him to have fun. Someday, not in the distant future they will be bigger and the playing will not be just playing. So for now, I’m going to relish in his smallness.
I promise this is the last video for a while. But I don’t take an over abundance of photos during the games. I’m too busy cheering. So I put this together, the only shot he made that I actually captured. After I showed it to him, he came to me a little later and said “Mom, are you made of magic? Because I think you are.”
Seeing his life in slow motion……was magic.
