Week of Thanks: Simple Sundays

Today was one of those Sundays when I rose early, went back to bed, got up again, went back to bed. Never really got dressed. One of those simple Sundays. And I am thankful for it, because there are so many Sundays that aren’t that way. So many that are jammed packed, full of action. (Which I love as well.) So today I read a little more of a book that my little Dino dude and I have been reading together. (I never read this in school, so I’ve been so excited about what comes to life in the cupboard next)  I dried some oranges and hung them on a garland just to add a little bit more color (I continue holiday projects clear up until the night before the actual holiday…so I can get the most out of all of them!) And that’s about it for the day’s activities. I slept with my little boy, who crawled  onto my lap next the fire. Something I will never tire of and something he will soon outgrow (though I told him he can sleep on my lap even when he’s full grown if he wants, but I know he won’t.) and I was thankful for that little bit of time of quiet with him. For those of you that tire of constantly holding your little ones… you will miss it. They grow ever so quickly.
