I am ever so thankful for this old house. Particularly the kitchen. It’s not a dream kitchen. It has a few modern things in it, but living in the old house I like to respect that it is an old house. I don’t want to make everything new. (Though hopefully in the next year it will get a floor redo and a few new cupboard doors.) It did get a new coat of paint from top to bottom these last couple of weeks. It got a fridge and consequently a stove as well. (we spent a good share of the last few months with a hose and a bucket hanging from our fridge to keep it from leaking every where, it finally bit the dust though.) I am thankful for this kitchen because I get to spend good quality time in it making awesome things for people I love. It’s often where we dance. Where we visit. Where we cry. It’s the gathering place of my home. That’s the great thing about kitchens. They aren’t just for cooking.
We also started construction on the other half of the basement, namely Dino Dude’s new room. I will be excited to see the finished product. (Which I’m sure won’t be done for a long, long time.) But I’ve been bad about before and after’s, so I thought I better keep proper track of them this time.
