A Valentine Card…

So I got to thinking before the beginning of the year…. I shoot an awful lot of family photos.  I only force my family once a year to pose for a picture. And then I thought to myself…”that just isn’t enough torture for them.” So this year is the year. I will be making my boys stand next to me, hold my hand, maybe even kiss me much more often.  I mean really, it is kind of a little bit of a waste if I don’t. I have a camera. And they do get a kick out of me running back and forth and back and forth to push that button, because enviably I forget the clicker somewhere. And there is normally a ton of arguing going on, which is a ton of fun. Sometimes crying, which is even more fun.  And somehow, through the magic of God….I get a shot.  Just one most of the time. And sometimes not my favorite, but one that will work. Because it’s a memory. An AWESOME memory. Seriously though, I did promise myself to send more photos to the grandparents this year.  Say “hi” more than at Christmas. I shoot a lot and don’t share enough. So this is our project.

I took this up in Estes. I had grand schemes of having mountains behind us and sun shining through my blond hair. But the wind was blowing, the balloons were deflating due to elevation,  the game clock was ticking down and I of course was taking much more time than needed to be taken. (Did I mention we saw a bobcat on the way to take these… yeah we did and that really doesn’t happen every day, if EVER.) So these were quick. I mean really quick.

Winter pictures can be awesome. They really can.  If you are having a hard time figuring out what to wear, jump on Polyvore and browse or let me help you find a groove. I have never found dino clothes for adults so I was SO stoked to find these. My outfit wasn’t exactly as planned. And I ended up finding my hat right above a distillery in Estes…so it kind of smelled hemp-ish, but the shop owners mom made it, so that made it all good.   Brady and I finally felt as cool as the little man. And we TOTALLY got compliments for our awesome clothes while shopping downtown, made the dino dude beam.
