I know you’ve been itching to see the progress of the room in my basement, at least I have. It’s always slow, but we’re used to it. There are always fun and exciting things happening here at my house when it comes to construction. When it’s all over, I might tell some of the insane stories, but for now, here is the progress.
This is where we left off last.
And now…this is the Dino dudes room. The walls went up and the texture went on last week. So it was painting time!!!!! WAHOO! You all know how much I love painting.
I let the little man pick out his own paint. (I’ve never let anyone pick out paint, so that was a HUGE deal.) We call it Dino Green. It’s very him. VERY VERY him. I also painted the cupboards grey. The walls will be cream, and I will finish those this week, and then I will move onto the study area. The little man, comes home from school, does his homework and reading and then throws his paint clothes on to help. Have I mentioned I love that kid? I sure do.
The window will hopefully be dug out and put in, in the next month. And then carpet. I LOVE seeing rooms come together from nothing. It’s just amazing.

And when I’m painting into the late hours of the evening…. this is how I roll. Get it. Roll.
