A Drive Through the Green Fields for a Ride on the Red Rider

We’ve had a boat for as long as I can remember.  I hardly ever go out in them….motion sickness gets the best of me sometimes.  But this weekend, I went on the maiden voyage of our new old boat that we bought last fall. A red and silver boat that found a new home. We’re calling it the Red rider, or Rouge Rider, or Runner.  We can’t decide.

We went to a familiar old spot, right outside Wheatland, and then we got to say hi to all of our family while we were there. That’s always nice! (Thank you God Mother for cooking for us!!!)

And guess who out fished all the men on the boat. This girl. That’s right, when I participate, I really participate! (And also, thanks to one of my favorite uncles for being the captain so my little family could fish. )

On our way to the lake, I noticed that the wild morning glories are blooming, only this year they are blooming like I’ve never seen them before, the ground is just a white carpet of them. It was beautiful. Just as the plains are greener than I have ever seen them. It makes me remember why I love the wide open spaces.
