The end of the year has come. This was not before my husband and I jumped on a bus full of second graders for a trip to the Denver zoo. I have to say, I forgot how long my legs are for bus seats. I also forgot how tiring the zoo becomes in mid day heat. We pretty much ran from exhibit to exhibit. There were so many, “YOU GUYS LOOK AT THIS!!!!!!” and “THAT IS SOOOOO ADORABLE’s ” We were pretty wiped by the end of the day. My husband and I are the type of parents that get a kick out of chaperoning our kid and embarrassing him occasionally, though deep down we know he loves it.
And the next day was the last day of school for our little Dino Dude. He did so well this year and we couldn’t be more proud. We celebrated by playing a little water balloon hot potato, and we laughed harder than we have laughed in ages. It was hilarious. The rest of the day was spent maxing and relaxing. Pretty awesome for us.
